The Doors Alive - O2 ABC

I'm not usually a fan of tribute bands but these guys capture the incredibly unique sound of The Doors. At £17 a ticket, you'd be silly not to go see this band, it's the closest you'll get to seeing the real thing.

The Sherlocks - O2 ABC

Sheffield based indie/rock band return to Scotland. Their sound is fairly uninteresting, similar to the Courteeners, however, I think they'd put on a good live performance worth every penny.

The Hunna - Barrowland

Not my cup of tea but this band have blown up recently with almost 2 million Spotify streams. They produce a hard driving sound with loud drums and good albeit fairly annoying vocals. From what I've seen, I think they'd put on a decent rock show that will give off a pleasant energy.

Clean Cut Kid - King Tut's Wah Wah Hut

I'm pretty jealous of this band....not just because the singer has an astonishing beard. They produce a new pop/indie, feel good sound. Yet another band, I think will grow and slide into the mainstream. A good live band I'm sure.

Declan McKenna - King Tut's Wah Wah Hut

With energetic live shows, McKenna has been recording since he was 14. The singer/songwriter plays simple guitar melodies and sing along choruses. Expect a feel good show.

Hunter And The Bear - O2 ABC

With their highly anticipated debut album out in May, this is a show not to be missed. This folk/rock band have shared the stage with big names like Eric Clapton. They are definitely the band to watch in 2017.

King King - O2 ABC

King King are a soulful blues band with Thin Lizzy style guitar harmonies and a vibrant frontman. They play blues in a way that puts a smile on your face and causes an uncontrollable toe tap.

Indigo Velvet - The Garage

I'm not a massive fan of these guys but they are slowly making their way up the ranks and have a decent following. They can be compared to the 1975 and Prides but they attempt to separate themselves from other indie bands by calling themselves 'tropical indie.' Anyway If you like the 1975, this is the gig for you.

The Cribs - O2 Academy

Celebrating the 10th anniversary of their critically acclaimed and Gregor acclaimed album, 'Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever.' The Cribs are one of the few live bands right now who play like their rock 'n' roll ancestors, smashing their guitars at the end of the gig and playing like the Sex Pistols. An exciting gig to see, for sure.
